1937 Plymouth Westchester Suburban Woodie Wagon
1937 Plymouth Westchester Suburban Woodie Wagon; 1937 was the only year that the Woodie was mounted on a commercial chassis. This Woodie was constructed from a PT50 chassis and U.S. Body and Forging was commissioned to build and fit the wooden body and add the interiors.
This Plymouth Woodie Wagon benefitted from a restoration in the past and has clearly been well maintained as well as the engine being freshly rebuilt. This Plymouth is finished in Middy Blue paint which appears to be lacquer as there are some areas of lacquer cracking. The woodwork is in very nice condition as well as the interior which was designed for seating of 7 people. The interior upholstery which is finished in brown vinyl with black piping is in very good condition with the exception of one small flaw in the front seat.
This Westchester Suburban Woodie Wagon is 1 of 602 that were produced for Plymouth in 1937. Based on the low production numbers and the typical survival rate the Woodie Wagon's have become highly collectable. Do not miss this opportunity to own one.
